Name: Slum Dog Millionaire

Age Certificate (UK): 15
Runtime: 120 mins
Directors: Danny Boyle, Loveleen Tandan

Jamaal gets arrested for cheating in the millionaire. They don't know that he never really cheated. Because he was brought up in a slum they don't believe him that he knew all the answers of the millionaire so the movie shows flashbacks of how he really knew the answers. It shows his childhood where he is with his brother but their mother gets killed so they become orphans then they meet a girl called Latika but she keeps gets taken away from Jamaal by his brother Salim who turns evil because he is tempted by power and money. Jamaal and Latika fall in love but when get they taken away from each other Jamaal tries anything he can but always fails so he joins the millionaire so she can see him. In the movie there is a part

I like this movie because of the storyline. It shows that you don't have to brought up by rich people or by a rich family to become rich yourself. It explores the genre of love because it shows how far a person can go just to be with someone else. It also explores how much people desire power because it shows Jamaal's brother Salim kill people just to gain power and money. I like at the end how Jamaal's brother Salim dies because he is in a tub full of money and gets killed. I think this is trying to show that when you die you don't take any of the money with you even if you worked for it all your life. It shows Salim praying to god to forgive him when he was going out to kill someone. I also like the way they rewind back to the pars where Jamaal was with Latika when they finally got together at the end of the movie.

I also like how it shows the real India and it shows how much poverty some of them are in. It makes the watcher feel sorry for them when they see little children living in hard conditions and the conflict what happens between the Muslims and the non- believers.

Research Media

Introduction: What is research?. Research is when we use sources like internet and books to find out information on the topic or thing they are looking for. Then they will get knowledge of their topic. This is useful for students who are researching something for their school homework like Science, English homework etc.

There are 4 different types of research:
  • Primary
  • Secondary
  • Qualitative
  • Quantitative
Quantitative research is when the information is in numbers and has statistics. For example if
a student has a homework from his Maths teacher that is to research what pi equaled. The student
will  either go on the internet to research or the maths textbook. This is equal to π = 3.1415926535897932384626433. This is called quantitative research. It is also surveys
and questionnaires

Primary research is when it is new research like first hand research. This is when it has just
been collected.

Secondary research is when the information is second hand. The is when the information has
already been collected.

Qualitative research is when the information is in words and is in detailed writing. This is like
case studies and interviews
because in an interview the interviewer doesn't say numbers or statistics to him. He will speak
in detailed words. This makes it have an advantage because

Also a focus group is when a group of people will get together to find out as much information.
